Gentlemen's set of add-ons for MODX

Hi. In this article we will tell you about add-ons which are used for CMS MODX website development.

ACE or CodeMirror is a code editor. I use Ace more often. Plugins that greatly facilitate the development of the site highlighting the code and checking for errors.

AjaxForm - a plugin that helps you create feedback forms that work without reloading the page. Automatically installs the plugin FormIt.

altHelper (installed from modstore.pro repository) - great add-on for controlling how your content manager fills the alt meta tag. You can also enable auto-fill tag from page title, but in this case all symbols "+" will be cut out from page body, so you should enable this option carefully.

autoRedirector - add-in, which can save you from page weight loss, in case you decide to change alias page (for example, changing category alias from katalog to catalog) by automatically creating redirect from old pages to new ones.

Redirector is an add-on that helps you set up redirects based on regular expressions. Necessary as air at replacement of old site on new if you can not keep structure url-addresses.
Boilerplate (installed from modstore.pro repository) - add-on that makes initial site configuration and installation of many of listed add-ons. Very saves time when deploying the system. I will describe how this add-on works in a separate article.

CKEditor and TinyMCE Rich Text Editor - wysiwyg editors for content field. I always install both of them because sometimes one of them will not work correctly.

Collections - as the name suggests you will need it if your site plans to have a section with a lot of content, such as a blog or news. It allows you to combine pages into collections instead of displaying them in the resource tree.

controlErrorLog - plugin that simplifies your work with log files and logs.

EmailQueue is a plugin for organizing mail queues. Also it can be useful for debugging emails sent from the site.

MIGX is scary and horrible.  Allows you to create a special type of fields, which allows you to combine multiple TV parameters into one. If you don't know what it's about, just trust it's very useful.

pdoTools - a very versatile and handy tool for a variety of tasks, such as the output menu, the output preview resources, display users and many others. I will tell more details in a separate post.

SweetAlert2 - replaces standard popups for AjaxForm and some other add-ins with nice-looking ones.
MinifyX - add-on to minify and merge css and js files.

phpThumbOn, phpThumbOf, phpThumb - add-ons for creating previews and formatting images. I use phpThumbOn most often. I also use it to embed the webp format.

Translit - an add-on that is required to create a CNC.

simpleUpdater - helps to easily update modx without using FTP or file manager.

VersionX - very useful plugin, which implements version control of all modx elements. It can be very useful if you are working on some element and it does not work anymore or you deleted some element by accident.

We use this set of plugins for MODX in almost all our projects, extending it depending on type of this or that site.
